R4WH is a 3,300 mile pedal-powered journey from Huntington Beach, CA to Bethany Beach, DE with three goals – to educate, advocate and fundraise to alleviate global health issues. The ride was founded at The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2005 and has since blossomed into a national organization.
R4WH’s riders are primarily graduating fourth year medical school students from The Ohio State University, however medical school students from many other universities as well as riders from all walks of life have been represented.
R4WH 2016 proudly supports The Ohio State University’s Greif Neonatal Survival Program and Esperança. The Greif Neonatal Survival Program trains nurses in Kenya in newborn resuscitation techniques in order to limit infant mortality. Esperança coordinates medical management of high-risk expecting mothers in Peru.
Ride for World Health relies heavily on the support of its riders, alumni and sponsors. We are very grateful for our 2016 sponsors which include The Ohio State University’s College of Medicine, Paradise Garage and the Mercy Health. Interested in sponsoring the 2016 ride?
