R4WH is a 3,300 mile pedal-powered journey from Huntington Beach, CA to Bethany Beach, DE with three goals – to educate, advocate and fundraise to alleviate global health issues. The ride was founded at The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2005 and has since blossomed into a national organization.
R4WH’s riders are primarily graduating fourth year medical school students from The Ohio State University, however medical school students from many other universities as well as riders from all walks of life have been represented.
R4WH 2017 proudly supports Ti Kay Haiti and The Ohio State University’s Greif Neonatal Survival Program. Ti Kay Haiti works to promote survival from and prevention of TB and HIV. The Greif Neonatal Survival Program trains nurses in Kenya in newborn resuscitation techniques in order to limit infant mortality.
Ride for World Health relies heavily on the support of its riders, alumni, and sponsors. We are very grateful for our 2017 sponsors which include The Ohio State University’s College of Medicine, Paradise Garage, and Ride with GPS. Interested in sponsoring the 2017 ride?
